Insurance Cover through Good Super

Good Super is pleased to offer all eligible members of the Fund access to a life insurance product. Good Super’s insurance covers you for major traumatic events that can affect you, your family and your future retirement plans.

Insurance is provided through Good Super by AIA Australia Limited (ABN 79 004 837 861 AFSL 230043) which is one of Australia’s leading life insurers. AIA Australia has been appointed to offer insurance cover to Good Super members. AIA Australia is part of the AIA Group.

As a member of Good Super, you are not, by default, covered by any insurance, and therefore you must apply as described below. Please note this insurance cover is subject to New Events Cover for 24 months. See our PDS and Reference Guide for more information.


The applicable insurance cover rates are stated here on page 18, and are inclusive of stamp duty, 20% insurance administration fee, plus GST relating to the insurance administration fee. The premium will be automatically withdrawn from your Good Super account balance each month and will not be calculated pro-rata for partial months.

How to apply for insurance

To apply for insurance, click here to login to your online member portal. If you have not already registered, please do so by clicking here. Once logged in, click “Apply for insurance”. You may be required to complete a personal statement form sent to you by the fund administrator upon application.

The cover commences once the insurer has accepted your application and the first premium has been paid.  During the assessment stage you may be eligible  for interim accidental death cover at no extra cost up to a maximum of $500,000. The insurance cover offered by the Trustee is provided by an AIA Australia Group Policy (the Policy) held by the Trustee. The provision of insurance is subject at all times to acceptance by the Insurer, and to the terms of the insurance policies. In the event of any inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Policy and the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS), the relevant Policy terms will prevail.
